Royal Family Kids through Refuge Memphis is confronting child abuse.
Royal Family Kids Camp is a camp for children, ages 7-11, who are in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Children Services. They have been removed from their biological parents due to some form of abuse and placed in a foster home. There were approximately 900 children in the foster care system for Shelby County in 2017. It is our goal for some of these children to be treated like “Royalty” for this one annual week in June.
The ratio of counselors to campers is two campers to every one counselor. We can accommodate between 32-36 children at a beautiful, rural camp resort.
To sponsor one child for this week is $700.00. Consideration of one or multiple sponsorships from you or your company, will be greatly appreciated.
Royal Family Kids Camp Memphis is under the umbrella of Refuge Memphis, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, so your donations and gifts are tax deductible.
We know from previous experience that this one week of camp can impact the future of these foster children. We thank you for your thoughtful consideration and support.
Yes! Our volunteers love serving at RFK Camp. There is a place for so many; college students, moms and dads, retired couples. They find joy and satisfaction serving these precious little ones of the Raleigh-Memphis area.
Activities are designed to be non-competitive and non-threatening to help children experience success.
God’s love is modeled consistently through games, sports, activity centers, Bible stories, and quiet times the campers share with their counselors.
